The Greenville (NC) Museum of Art commissioned me to portray a diversity of African-Americans in Eastern North Carolina representing every imaginable walk of life — wealthy, ex-con, homeless, and everything in between. First perceive their qualities and then offer these pictures so that all of us may recognize our shared humanity and qualities.
